Ugh. It’s been a HELLA week.
Puking 3 1/2 year old.
Teething 5 month old.
BUSY BUSY BUSY 22 month old.
ENOUGH SAID.
Amongst the puke and crying I’ve kept up with the ab challenge and my 100 squats/day. HOLLA.
BUT I missed my spin class Tuesday morning… it was one of those days that I just should have gotten my ass out of bed and went. All hell hadn’t broke loose in my house yet but I knew I was going to have a babysitter that afternoon so I opted to sleep in and go to the afternoon class with an instructor I’ve never had. NEVER AGAIN. The whole day was just blah and then the class was HORRIBLE. You can tell that the afternoon class is usually not very well attended so that’s where they put their less skilled instructors. BAD NEWS. I was dreaming about stopping at the gas station for coffee and twizzlers the whole time and ACTUALLY thought about faking a phone call from my babysitter that someone was sick so I could leave. It was B>A>D.
I wrote a very pleasant review.
What did I learn Tuesday. GET YOUR ASS UP AND GO!!!
Wednesday was when all shit hit the fan. The puking…the crying…the need of a bottle of wine before noon. Thankfully I have an amazing husband and world’s best babysitters…So I survived…and did my abs and squats. BOOOOOO YA. And spent a great deal of time trying to exhaust this little man after a long day of movies…So we went for a LONG walk.
THURSDAY is the big day…No spin class because my children were still not quite back to normal…but…..I ran 3.7 miles. what!? Yeah…3.7 And I have THE BEST running partner ever.
It was an awesome run. I didn’t do it for time….but just to have some FRIGGIN PEACE AND QUIET after such a shit day the day before. So I turned up my tunes and off we went. And let me tell you. 3 months ago…a mile was a HUGE accomplishment. HUGE. Today…after the first mile…I wasn’t even tired. It was AWESOME. And when I got home and sat down the hubby asked me how I felt and….get ready….I said…
"I THINK I COULD GO FARTHER"
WHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!?
This coming from the girl that puked after jiggle jogging one mile in 15.30 3 months ago!?!?!??!
So a little Thursday night motivation…Left is my 2 WEEKS before delivering my sweet little babe 4 months ago…tipping the scales somewhere around 240….or 250…depending on how many milano cookies and twizzlers I consumed that day.. Right is me and said sweet babe after ROCKING my run today 187 lbs and LOVING it… Get moving ladies. No excuses. .
They say it takes 4 weeks for you to notice changes in your body, 8 weeks for family and friends, and 12 weeks for everybody else. There has never been a truer statement. I’ve been seriously dedicated to this for about 9 weeks and a friend of ours was at our house today…a GUY friend (they usually don’t notice this kind of thing so it made it even more exciting.) And I walk outside to say hi and he says…and I QUOTE.
"Wow Sarah…you look really FIT I’m impressed.."
You know the key word in that sentence…….FIT.
Hells yes. I’m doing this.
Tomorrow I will be traveling…6 hours in a car with a 4 month old and 22 month old… I’m stoked.
So I will NEEEEEEED a run when I get there…however I’m pretty sure my time this weekend is monopolized by my sister and wedding planning…………………………………………………………
Saturday morning is Huber Sisters 5K!!! WOOP WOOOOOOP! It’s a run for me and my sister….because we never get to do them together and there weren’t any in the area this weekend….so we made up our own :) We’re cool.
Happy Thursday!!!
